Cake Batter Bark

Ah bark. So easy to make, so pretty and impressive to bring to parties, and so tasty! This recipe is one of those easy ideas that is so smart I wish I’d thought of it.

Cake batter flavour is so hot right now. You’ll find it in everything from cookies to froyo! I love it in this bark. The bark easy to make, and the flavour is so uniquely birthday cake-like that you’ll find yourself gobbling up the entire batch, leaving a trail of sprinkles as the only evidence that it ever existed.

I love the mix of dark and white chocolate, it really makes this bark extra pretty. Cover it all with sprinkles and it’s like a party on a plate!  It’s important to use good quality chocolate since that’s pretty much the only ingredient here.

If you don’t know what to do with the extra cake mix, Buzzfeed has some awesome ideas. So hurry out and buy a box so you can make this bark right now!

Recipe from How Sweet It Is

Ingredients

6 ounces good quality semisweet chocolate

12 ounces good quality white chocolate

3 tsp yellow cake mix

Lots of sprinkles!

Directions

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Melt the semisweet chocolate either over a double boiler or in the microwave. Pour onto prepared baking sheet and put in the freezer about 20 minutes.

Melt the white chocolate. Slowly whisk cake mix into melted white chocolate until smooth. Let it set for 3 minutes (it will thicken a bit). Remove baking sheet with hardened semisweet chocolate from the freezer and pour white chocolate on top. Spread it around to cover the semisweet chocolate. Sprinkle with (lots) of sprinkles. Refrigerate until firm and then break into chunks.

This bark is pretty enough to bring to a party, and tasty enough that you might just end up eating it all while lying on the couch watching a Say Yes to the Dress marathon. I don’t judge.
